3/28/2022: Second Entry
A part, a T-shirt, something so simplistic of a role to play that requires so much to go into it. It truly does take a village to raise a child. A human, a part, a being, a life. We all have a role to play, some where you may need to or choose to subject yourself to the hierarchy of the situation, conform. I work at a bar where we hold live music performances, workers and performers alike we are all on a stage and in life we are all on a stage. You do not need to be the main character in the Hierarchy. Many times over hierarchy can be applied to so many distinct ecosystems; societal, interpersonal, and from a business standpoint.
We each have a role to play, and somewhere along the way an existential crisis is bound to arise. There is beauty in the sadness of life at every turn, and once terms are made with that, we can truly live. This doesn't mean the difficulties nor detestable things of life retreat from sight, if anything they amplify. Each individual is capable of more than they could ever believe possible, but that is just that.
I am a 24 year old with a premed emphasis biology degree from a well regarded private university, aspirations to be a surgical doctor and choose the role I play in life.
I am a 24 year old bartender with 12 years of service industry experience, I have many paths I can choose to travel, with faith whichever path I choose will end with me owning my own business.
2/24/2022: First Entry
Dive into the abyss, it is filled with void. Void of all space & time. So, what’s next? Are you going to succumb to the darkness or are you yielding to light? The space gets so cramped its hard to breathe right. My sight is starting to dim, as I see cusps of something I can make out… is that it? A logo! Portal Axis, I see those words circled in the distance. Also, a mysterious man inside the circle. His eyes look like he is being controlled? But his smile seems so bold. Like, he is still in control. I decided that maybe, I might walk through this door. The rip in this dimension is vivid, I can see different visions with different pigments. All of a sudden, we are all living. Living to die and dying to live. Bringing this light, from the dark. That light reflecting back is US.
Who is Portal Axis? Portal Axis is derived of Arizona native creators. We want the distinction to mean something. Since war has always been about advancing land, distinction for who we are and where we live for peace, has to be the alternative. What maintains that peace though? It has to be the art. The way it associates and disassociates people. We can recognize that art has always kept humanity from war, and in pursuit to further their interest on what could be. By being creative in different ways and having different perceptions. What it could be though, is something beyond our imaginations for the time-being. But maybe, just maybe, we can manifest our imagination into reality or someone could show it to us. By using this small window of innovation, we finally get to see the truth. Just for a moment.
